Welcome to my Microsoft Expression Design Tutorials, Tricks and Tips web site.  At the moment I am working with the Beta 2 Trial version so things may change as we go along.  If you are here you are probably like me and just learning about the different tools and features the program possesses.  You will find there are a lot of different ways to do things in Design.  I suggest you seek out all the tutorials you can from as many different authors as you can.  Each has a different way of doing things which is what makes the learning process fun.

One Final Note:  I have decided to use strictly Ping Format for my site so I apologize for those with older browsers who see black around the image.

I hope you enjoy and Have Fun!  Bill

I posted a tutorial for a button but the real emphasis is on the gradient tool and the effects it can produce.

Creating a cable and customizing it for your interfaces could not be easier in Expression Design.

I posted a new tutorial today for creating a button template.  What is interesting about these buttons is if you right click the image below you will see it is only 3.2k.

June 3, 2007  Grand Opening.

I posted 4 Tutorials.  I started and stopped quite a few tutorials over the last 2 weeks until I came to the realization I had to do things a little different than in the past.  So I scrapped what I had and restarted.  Due to the newness of Design and the amount of new people who will be trying it for the 1st time I realized a lot of my tutorials would be several pages long because I would have to go over every little detail about every tool and feature Design has for every tutorial.  Too long for me with my lack of attention span and definitely boring for folks that already know the basic fundamentals.

So what I have decided to do is a combination of Basic Must Know Tutorials so I am not repeating myself a thousand times, and tutorials that assume you know the obvious.
