| Add a Water Drop to a Leaf Photo |
|
Here is a real simple and easy way to add a water drop to a photo. Just right click the image to the right and copy and
paste into Expression Design if you want to follow along. |

|
| 1) Draw a 56 x 56 circle with the Ellipse Tool. Fill the circle with a linear gradient. Set the left gradient node to (R -
125 / G - 125 / B - 125 and the right gradient node to (R - 255 / G - 255 / B - 255). Using the Gradient Transform Tool rotate your
gradient by moving your cursor starting at 10 o'clock and ending at 4 o'clock. |

|
| 2) Now select your circle, go to the property inspector click on the Effects Tab and apply Effects / Drop Shadow and use settings of:
Softness = 2
Offset = 2
Opacity = 1
3) With your circle still selected, in the Property Inspector Panel click on the Advanced Properties Arrow and set the blending mode to
Color Burn. |

|
| 4) Now draw another circle 54 x 54 and use these settings: Fill = Black
Stroke = Black
Stroke Width = 1
5) Make sure the Link Fill and Stroke settings are not linked and set Fill to 0%.
6) With your circle still selected go to Effects and apply Effects / Gaussian Blur and set Radius to .6. Now center it over our
bottom circle. |

|
| 7) Now use the Ellipse Tool one more time and draw a small oval and rotate it so it will be parallel to our water drop at the top
left. Color the oval White and apply a Gaussian Blur with the Radius set to 1. |
